Permanently Delete Segments

This guide outlines how to permanently delete an audience from the Covatic platform.

Feature Overview

Deleting an audience is a permanent action that removes the audience from your dashboard. This is typically done to clean up your workspace after a campaign has concluded or if a test audience is no longer required.

Prerequisites

  • A registered Covatic account with delete permissions.
  • Access to the Audiences or Advertising

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Switch to List View

To access the delete options, you must change your dashboard view from the card layout to the list layout.

  • On the Audiences page, locate the view toggle icons at the top right of the list.
  • Click the List View icon (represented by three horizontal lines).

2. Locate the Target Audience

  • Find the audience you wish to delete from the list.
  • Note that the list view provides additional details such as the creator’s email and the specific creation date, which can help ensure you are deleting the correct version.

3. Open the Actions Menu

  • On the far right of the audience’s row, locate the three vertical dots (⋮).
  • Click the dots to open the actions dropdown menu.
  • Select Delete.

4. Confirm Deletion

A “Delete Audience” confirmation modal will appear to prevent accidental removal.

  • Review the message: “Are you sure you want to delete this audience?”
  • Click the red Delete button to finalise the action.

Success Verification

  • Notification: A green confirmation banner will appear at the top right stating: “Audience deleted successfully!”
  • List Update: The audiences will immediately disappear from your active audience list and will no longer be available in any filters.

Warning: Unlike moving an audience to the “Archive” status, deletion is permanent. Once deleted, the audience logic and its associated reach data cannot be recovered.
